I have been working at TeleRep full-time (More than 3 years)
Generally, there is a good level of camaraderie amongst employees
The starting salary for assistants is extremely low--$32,500 no matter what city the office is located in. There are few advancement opportunities from there. The only real option is to apply to and complete the training program in New York and become an Account Executive/Sales Rep. This requires finding your own housing in NYC for 2 months, after which you could be sent anywhere in the country. For those who are mobile it may be feasible, but if you want to stay in your office, it presents some challenges. Most intelligent and talented young Sales Assistants end up moving over to the agency side as a result.
Advice to Management
Work on providing more opportunities for entry level staff (both regarding pay and advancement), or you will continue to struggle to recruit talented recent graduates and then lose the few you do hire to agencies and other companies in the industry.
