Worked with some good, knowledgeable, hardworking people.
It is almost pointless to try to list the Pros and Cons of working at a facility that no longer exists, due to a decision made by the CEO. Indeed, it may be pointless to say anything of a company that, on its current path, might not exist for much longer. But allow me to rant anyway. Little thought seems to be put into any decisions, be it moving the main production facility to a building half the size, not venting heat from the powder coat oven in the new building with summer looming or, five years later, abruptly deciding to close that facility with large contracts on the horizon. There were frivolous expenditures on such things as painting quotes on the walls, replacing the time clocks with half as many fancy new ones that never seemed to work as well as the old ones, the shiny new robot that, to my knowledge, is still not in use and, the mother of them all, the"30 Year Ride" in 2012, where the executives went for a month long motorcycle road trip on the company's dime under the guise of drumming up business. While those "in the trenches" MIGHT receive a pittance of a raise every 2-3 years and had to perform miracles with equipment on the verge of failure.
Advice to Management
Lose Wayne in favor of someone who has some idea of what they're doing and Telect MIGHT survive.
