Backstabbing mentality between management and their employees. No support when Customer Support drops the ball.

I worked at Terarecon full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Abilities of the software. Benefits.

    Cons

Management. Low Pay. Work/Life balance. No training for employees unless you are part of the training staff and even that is only once a year, and just before the biggest demo of the year. Review process was a joke and didn't mean anything. I asked for copies of my customer surveys (supposed to be part of the ISO process) before my review and was told that they didn't send them out and or could not find them. Self inflicted audits are a joke because the processes are a joke. Using spreadsheets for expenses in 2010 (created by the CEO) really? No ability to share resolutions to software or hardware issues. Tracking of valid service agreements by a secret spreadsheet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have learned over the years that when a company doesn't share information with its employees, its usually because they have something to hide. Stop believing your own hype. If in 2008 an employee has to set up their own email because you have no systems in place for corporate email something is wrong. Start rewarding actual performance. Your customers are what is keeping you afloat, so you may want to start actually listening to them. If a customer has a service contract, they shouldn't have to call and ask if there is a new release. Running a company by using fear is not good inviting to investors. This isn't Japan, it's America and 99% of the people in the office NEVER interface with the public face to face.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
