I have been working at Texas Guaranteed full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The location is great, the salary is better than State government, and the worker bees work well together in harsh conditions.

    Cons

The work is boring and many days there is nothing to do. Then you would get 3-4 projects at once due at once. Poor management and utilization of resources. One never knew what was going on. The software/hardware/technology is very outdated. They never heard of SOA or EA. It would take them 20 years to become CURRENT for today. Most data fields (same values) are in 20 locations. NIGHTMARE. I had more skills when I arrived than I do now. No training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is a joke. As long as they got their paycheck...they didn't plan, strategize, or care about the future.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
