I worked at Texas Health Resources as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Wonderful Nurses, Caring and Competent, Excellent orientation, Best from the Heart Values...
    Great Organization!

    Cons

Minimal...most noteworthy, was the decision to sign on to CDC recommendations that in effect show individual healthcare workers significant Disrespect. That was to require ALL Employees to receive a Flu Vaccination or to wear a surgical mask for 12-13 hour work shifts. The usage of these masks is not designed to be utilized in such fashion for such an extended time period and is not healthy for the individual repeatedly to be exposed to rebreathing of such air even when masks are exchanged for a new one. Some hospitals allowed employees to remove masks when leaving patient care rooms, only wearing them when they were breathing the same air as the patient. With visitors coming and going unmasked throughout the hallways, and interacting unmasked in society, it is extremely disrespectful to be given absolutely zero choice! Added to that,
some healthcare workers feel claustrophobic in masks, others have medical conditions which prevent their receiving the Flu Shot, and honestly, seldom do the vaccines get the season's virus correct. Thus, the shot is ineffective and does not prevent the spread of the Flu as marketed. However, Forcing Americans to take a foreign fluid into their bodies or be fired from their jobs, fails to Honor the Individual rights and Freedoms this nation was founded upon - totally Disrespectful.
