I have been working at The Art Institutes (HQ) (more than 5 years)

I work for the online division of the school and teach. Classes are pre-loaded, so you are a facilitator. Since classes are asynchronous, it is convenient to teach at AIO. You can fit your AI classes into hours when you would not be able to teach on the ground.

The faculty are micromanaged by the Online Program Directors and the Dean. There are tight deadlines for posting grades, feedback, etc. You are also forced to cold call the students if they are not doing well in their classes or miss an assignment. Pay for adjuncts is very low. It can also be very difficult to get classes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your faculty more and stop micromanaging them. Raise your pay for faculty across the board.
