    I worked at The Body Shop full-time (more than 3 years)


    Great opportunity to develop sales and management skills through on going support and training. Hardworking, committed and dedicated staff that are genuine and passionate.
    Fantastic staff discount and great quality products.


    Although staff are genuine and passionate they lack strong retail or managerial background that can have a negative impact on recruitment, training and coaching teams.
    The operational team lacks practice on the field and very often their expectations and actions are not relevant to the shop environment and customers needs.
    Too many promotions and regular offers create confusion and frustrations for both team and customer due to the constant changes of visuals, tables and windows in store.
    There is no direct support in store from the HR team and Visual Merchandising team to reflect the requirements set by head office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on building strong work relationships with the operational team if you're looking for career progression. Sometimes working hard and having the best results will only get you more work rather than recognition.
