I worked at The Department for Education (UK) full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The civil servants are knowledgeable and committed to their policy areas, it's more diverse than many other govt departments.

    Cons

Morale is at an all time low due to blame culture, poor leadership and being used as a political pawn by the Sec of State. Very sad to see people scrabbling to leave a once-great department

It's not that long until 2015
