I have been working at The Fountain Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent for the work that you do. Recruiting isn't a hard job, but it's something you do need to work at. You pick up the phone and call people. Who cares if someone is already working or doesn't want the job. You're getting paid to make calls. On top of that, you will get commission and bonuses. Work hard and you will make decent money. After some experience, pass the senior test and make even better money. The initial training does a good job of preparing you to get on the phones and then in the training room once you hit the phones you can get all the one on one help you need. You do need to show that you aren't completely overwhelmed with the work, but the trainer is there to help you with searches through resume databases and honing your craft. By the time you have enough hires to leave the training room, you will have all the tools to be a successful recruiter. You may get repeated reqs, but that's part of it. Spend a few hours on it a move on. You will also get great reqs. Work hard, do what is asked of you, and respect your co-workers and there is no reason why you shouldn't love this job.

    Cons

The health benefits aren't worth it and you won't get PTO for a full year and no holliday pay for three years for some strange reason. They can definitely do better there. Also, starting out you are destined to work an afternoon to night shift. The plus is you get west coast work, but for someone with a family you miss out on time with your kids. I get home and they go to bed. It's sad. Not everyone can work 9-5, but having a chance to work an earlier shift as a new employee would really help morale early on and help with initial turnover. Maybe offer certain perks to people who work the later shifts so those with families can work earlier.

    Advice to Management

The benefits outside of pay should improve and it would be a great idea to offer incentives to work later shifts so those who value those perks can get them and those who really need an earlier shift for family reasons can have access to them.
