Former Employee - Box Office/Ticket Sales in Conroe, TX

I worked at The Grand Theatre part-time (more than a year)

    Free movies
    Early screenings of big movies
    Easy job
    Advancement possibilities
Sometimes you can get extra movie posters and promo merchandise.

Customers are usually very rude and feel entitled to everything. We use to joke that as soon as they parked their car they became rude and stupid. It seemed like everyone wanted to complain about the cost of stuff to the employees who had ZERO control over that. Or people would want refunds just because they didn't like the movie. It gets old dealing with rude people.
Cleaning up after rude people is annoying. People trash the theaters and bathrooms.
Busy nights are hard and you will not sit down at all.
During the slow season, hours get drastically cut.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management always did they best they could when I worked there. Never an issue with management, personally.
