I worked at The Home Depot part-time (more than a year)

People are great, benefits to pt employees, special occasions (free food), sick time

Where to begin: Not flexible with student Schedules at all (even though they say they do), usually find ways to let you go within putting your two weeks in (better off quitting), never busy, treat lot attendants like crap. Never let you request off during the weekends even when the store isn't busy. Weekend days off are hard to come by. They have forgot about their employee's in the new customer satisfaction policy. Store manager sits around on phone all day, woman asm does nothing but sit around. The other two asm's are the only two that are respectable in the store.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Yes, sick time is earned over time. People should be able to use it how they want. That is their time to use. Let people work their two weeks out instead of trying to be greedy and save money (because in the long run it will hurt you). Get rid of dead weight (there is a lot there). Treat employee's with some respect (we are adults and want to be treated as such).
