Lies and false promises to make up for low wage, low hours, and 'random' firings.

I worked at The Home Depot part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Cashiering is easy to learn and easy to do, thanks to the high cashier turnover.
Stress-less job if you know how to do it right.

    Cons

Low salary, majority of employees are part-time, firings happen to employees who have been in the company too long - entirely to avoid paying benefits or higher wages. HUGE disconnect between what management tells you (customers first, knowledge pays, etc) and the cost-cutting priorities that I see.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want good, knowledgeable employees that can actually help the customers, pay them a fair wage with solid hours on which they can make a living. Otherwise, enjoy your part-time quitters.
