I worked at The Limited part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I really enjoyed working with the company as a part-time sales associate. The management team was awesome with lots of flexibility in its scheduling. In addition, shifts are not too long (typically 4 hours each time). The store team was always fun to work with as well. The company occasionally attempts to offer incentives to its employees in the form of sales competitions as well. The company does a good job communicating information sales associates need to know to perform at their job (updates, policies, best practices, product information, etc.)

    Cons

The pay is not as high as other women's clothing retailers, which is a bummer. Also, promotional opportunities are difficult to achieve given the availability requirements (upwards of 20-30 hours per week for sales leads). While the employee discount seems good (40% off), I never actually used the discount because regular promotions offered a better deal most of the time.
