I have been working at The Marlin Company

    Pros

If you like to work from home without going into a brick and motar company this might be for you. They have different pay options, base plus commissions, and strickly commission. Take the base plus commission at first so you won't starve to death.

    Cons

Lack of communication between corporate and it's regional managers. Feast or starve. If you have a territory that doesn't have a lot of accounts don't take the job because you'll end up starving. This job used to be the best part-time full job you could have, but not any longer. No help with CRMs you have to do your own hunting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More communication to the field, and to create better ways to help your regional mangers sell more. This company has three different sales forces. 40K base, 25K base, and commissioned only. Can't treat the people that are on commission the same way you do as "paid" employees.
