I worked at The Real Food Company full-time (less than an year)Pros
Its a growing company with lots of potential to move within the company. In a central location in kent washington.Cons
Its 36-48 degrees inside. The hiring process was confuaing and way too many people involved. Training was absolutely poor. In a warehouse job usually you get a day of training and they put you iut immediately to do things on your own. I was told i was training with someone and he immediately passed me off to another employee after 15 min. After four days I still had not done anything but follow my trainer around for 8 hours a day in the cold while she complained about her personal problems. She should not be training other people either. Just watching her was chaotic and a waste of time when things could be done more productively.
Not to mention they had me training ON A DIFFERENT SHIFT than one I would be working on. The morning people admitted to having no clue what the night people do.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Meeting the recruiter from Portland is pointless. He just directs us to a supervisor anyway.
Designate trainers. Train them on their shift. Dont spend a week training. Its a simple common sense job. Its a waste of time and annoying to be in the way constantly because they have no tasks.
Update scanners! Please! It takes precious time away constantly replacing batteties and having to pull a big chunky scanner out constantly.Doesn't RecommendPositive OutlookNo opinion of CEO
