I have been working at The Washington Post part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

when you are a sub, you get to pick your own schedule every week. This gives you an opportunity to be more flexible. you can choose to be off up to 3 months so its a very good part time work.

    Cons

The management lacks leadership skills. the direct managers are picked right off of the work place with no educational background.

    Advice to Management

Managers needs to be given leadership training. There should also be a way to get feedback on how the managers' performances are.
