Tiandi...Wake Up. Your consultants were the future of your firm. You're blowing it.

I worked at Tiandi Energy as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Challenging Projects for sure. Compensation was most reasonable at first assignment w/ initial living 2nd home expenses covered 100%, great while lasted. They get you in the door with big operators in expensive cost of living cities with BIG DATA problem challenges. Careful what you ask for.

    Cons

Beware of apparent "start-up mega majors" who expect to turn straw into gold and consultants to walk on water. Assigned kindergarten client office culture difficult for any normal humans to succeed. Consultants treated like second-rate employees and despised by co-workers envious of the higher rate for breaking rocks for the Nords. Good luck there pal. Consultants over-exploited to ridiculously impracticle expectations. What do you do to relieve work stress LOL.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of trusting professionals you execute one - year worthless contracts with after transitioning and stranding them away from homes with exorbitant set-up and egress expenses. No expedient reassignments after client/Tiandi failures to fulfill good faith contract performance. Doing best finding new clients/employers w/o TE knocking on Houston doors while stranded. Unwanted, forced re-assignment to mega operator client with severely hidden, fouled corporate internal departmental battles flaring. Client pre-existing detrimental, cyclic, ego-centric, office nasty politics impacting consultant performance. Extremely unskilled line managers only worried about self-survival, not there to aid success of "dream-based consultant assignments." Client manager had a new (unwritten) evolving role dream every day...literally expected consultant to predict undefined data user requests without polling surveys ...QC of invisible unsecured data, etc. "perform miracles on mission impossibles." Expected to solve cyclic, pre-existing monumental challenges without leadership backing to accomplish. ALL that glitters...rethink the think. Learned much from this experience thanks be to GOD. Thanks Tiandi for throwing an overqualified professional in to the Nord bear pit without a spear to truck out with. Should have transitioned me to another better client after pleadings, based on prudent Tiandi sales/marketing totally lacking interfacing feedback. Shouldn't blacklist faithfully diligent contractors caught up in client internal politics. Onward and Upward. PG,CPG,MBA,SME
