I have been working at Tiburon, Inc. full-time (more than 10 years)

The products make a difference in the real world, helping the clients help real people - friends and neighbors, or those who could be. You really feel like your contribution is making a positive difference in the world. Some of the products are really exceptional. The people are generally exceptional as well - especially co-workers and peers at the "worker bee" level.

Over work, under planning, and poor communication. There are not enough resources for the expectations placed on them. The poor planning and communication means that those resources are often getting yanked around, and fire-fighting because of previous poor decisions is a common reason for current/future poor decisions, where something gets done slap-dash because fire-fighting took too much time.

The company has gone through a series of upper management before settling with the current group. There is a lot of history of different - mostly bad - management in the past. Long-time employees will act according to bad habits or knee-jerk reactions formed under prior management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the course you say you're on, but please try to improve planning, and please consider whether you have all the resources you need for something before setting it in motion.
