Too many employees, saturating the market, setting new hires up for failure.

    Pros

The culture in the office is fun. Average aged is mid to late 20s. Lots of fun outings and events.

The office leader truly does care about your success, but there's not much that person can do to help aside from train you. The people in the office are easy to get along with, and team leaders want their team to be successful.

    Cons

TQL is growing too fast. When I started, if I grounded out a good 2 weeks of hard prospecting, it was likely to find a solid customer with a good amount of business, THAT DIDNT HATE US.

TQL has so many reps that continuously cycle through prospects and blow up their phones. Any time I find a prospect with good potential, they ask to be put on the do not call list.

What I'm getting at, is that the likelihood for a new hire to come in here and build a solid book is very low. I'm lucky enough to have established customers here, but I feel bad for the new hires.

    Advice to Management

Less brokers will increase the likelihood on becoming successful. An LAEs biggest competition is the other LAEs at TQL. Every big potential prospect is marked freight tendered/dnc or simply hates us for the volume of calls.

Also, we are being undercut by competitors. 25% commission is not bad pay, but our quotes are becoming less and less competitive. We are having to quote for higher margins because it is more difficult for each LAE to build a book with a high amount of customers. Give each LAE more customers, and we will give lower rates to customers, which will lead to higher market share (more money long term).

Culture and attitude is good. Keep it up.
