I worked at Trayport full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Trayport is a fascinating place to work. Unique position means it offers employees the chance to fastrack experience and knowledge in technology, trading and energy all at once.
Atmosphere - friendly, non-hierarchical and fun.
Culture - very pleasant and fairly intellectual
    Compensation - pretty reasonable really
Work-life balance - well-considered and there is flexibility in time-off and work practices.
While the whole business has been in transition for the last couple of years... and there is no doubt still more to come... Trayport remains an excellent opportunity for those willing to look beyond pettiness or politics and see the bigger picture.

    Cons

Transitional periods always polarise things and in Trayport's case this is no different. There is a lot the business could do better; there is a lot it does do better than 3 years ago.
Not the clearest pathway for personal growth - you'll have to push to get where you want to go.
Too many exceptional people leave as their next step upwards, since they can't find the opportunity internally.
Remuneration often becomes a factor, when personal growth isn't optimal, and that seems the case here, especially for the best performers in the business.
