I worked at Trends International full-time (more than 3 years)

Good people to work with. Generous PTO, other benefits aren't too bad. The work is interesting, as you work with various licensors such as Disney. Good work/life balance. They do really nice charity work. Privately owned, so you get to know the executive team, rather than feel like an unknown within a large corporation.

No opportunities for professional development training. Salary in marketing is very low compared to national averages, with very small percentage increases each year. Very much a "What have you done for me lately?" environment. Don't expect to get a lot of positive feedback or acknowledgment of your work from management. Major micro-managing from senior management. Very reluctant to take chances on up and coming licenses unless they are proven, at which point we are late to the party. No bonus program.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your employees! There have been some very good people that left because of lack of salary increase/growth opportunities. Consider adding opportunities for professional development (classes, seminars, etc.). Would be nice to see more positive feedback for outstanding work.

    Neutral Outlook
