    I worked at Tri-City Mental Health Center full-time for more than a year


    You become an expert at DMH paperwork and how to work under pressure in extreme situations


    Where to start? Billing is the number one priority. In comparison to other agencies, it is above and beyond, which has managed to keep management exactly where they are. There is absolutely no regard to personal time, so be prepared to work weekends in order to meet billing, deadline for administrative tasks, etc., There is no compensation for the extra hours on your off time. The problem starts from the higher up's who are perfectly aware of what goes on behind the scenes, but they manage to turn the other cheek continuously. So if you have an issue with management, you may as well walk yourself out the door.
    There are many great employees and there have been good supervisors, but if they become too likeable, management always finds a loop hole to fire them or they leave running on their own. The turn over is high, your needs are not a priority and the supervision can leave you on the defensive and making you feel incompetent due to lack of support and professionalism. To work here, is to risk your professional reputation. And once you leave, don't expect an honest recommendation from this group. They can and really do hold it against you. The salary will tempt you no doubt, but it is not worth the cost.
