It's sad to be a part of an organization that promotes hope, recovery, and growth in clients and the community yet embodies the complete opposite when it comes to the organization's culture. Those in the "circle" of the Clinical Director, now Exec Dir, are "protected" considering these are the most inept mental health professionals I've ever encountered. Their lack of clinical knowledge and leadership skills carries into the organization's everyday operations(regardless of the site-Wellness Center, Children's Dept, Adult Services, etc..). The reputation in the community is not a favorable one given the lack of timely response from staff, emphasis on billing, and inability to retain qualified staff. Power hungry managers rule with a gestapo mentality and rely upon bullying, intimidation, and public humiliation. Instead of empowering innovative care, they oppress and intimidate their subordinates

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leveling the management team(from the ED to the managers) and start from scratch. I find it hard to believe that a year long nationwide process to find a new Executive Director was only able to produce the Director of Clinical Services as the only viable candidate. It does not build morale to be consistently threatened that there are a LACK of opportunities within the organization(especially since all of the management team is in the "circle")
