I have been working at True Homes, USA full-time (More than 3 years)

The training is comprehensive and extremely intense. It will be the most rigorous training program you ever endure. However, if you make it through, you will have gained skills and principles that will guarantee you success in your sales career (not just at True Homes). Good compensation.

While the compensation can be lucrative for a go getter, the compensation structure is sketchy at best. The accounting system is horrid and leaves sales staff frustrated and looking for answers each pay period. Keep your own records - they will short change you!! Bonuses are promised and if earned, are rarely given (my biggest pet peeve here). Essentially, you will work countless hours only to have discrepancies in your check. It is frustrating and discouraging. Who wants to work 60+ hours a week - to include every single weekend without fail - and then have their check come up short? Repeatedly? It has become the "True Culture" and as Dan would say... "A gizzard moment" - not a good one I might add. My managing partner is extremely unprofessional. He lacks time management skills, does not take calls, rarely returns calls, never delivers on promises, has yet to pay out on a bonus I have earned (over a dozen since my start date) doesn't show for scheduled field training, is not timely on performance evaluations, does not approve needed materials / equipment for sales office - I could do this all day. True Homes has a "culture". It isn't the one they discuss in the interview process or during training. Instead it is a don't ask / don't tell culture. Do as you are told. Never ask any questions (including about pay discrepancies) and be willing to work 60+ hours....every single on call on days off and pull your numbers (and your teammates when they fall short) and you will thrive. I am still here ONLY because they owe me BIG $$$ on sales that are pending closings. If I walk away, I lose it all. It is how they keep you working. You can't afford to leave. Bottom line, BEWARE of this company and their "True Culture". I wish I had followes my gut instinct early in my sales career and moved on before I had accumulated so much pending commission in my pipeline.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees the way you expect them to treat your customers. Pay them!! Good grief - this shouldn't be an issue. Do NOT promise a bonus you have no intention of paying just to make your sales quotas at month end. Support your sales staff - they are your earners. Without them, there would be no sales and no salaries for the other employees. Respect goes a long way, try it sometime. Hold your managing partners accountable. They aren't training and following through as they should. Stop dumping sales people in a sales office without a competent sales manager willing to answer their phones or return calls. I can't believe that even needs to be said.
