I have been working at Tufts Medical Center full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    The benefits here are decent

    Cons

*After experience in different departments in the hospital, I see that administration/operations is weak and disorganized. There are procedures that don't make any sense.
*It's crazy that in departments in which there's no patient interaction, one is still required to go to work in snow storms.
*In the department I'm employed in now, there is a huge lack of unfairness, due to weak leadership. If a person in a supervisory position whines enough, it doesn't matter how wrong it is, the whiner will get their way and the "little people" will get screwed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on evaluating and improving administration and operations! It's so important to have a strong administration, so the hospital can start to run efficiently. A little example, HR should invest in PeopleSoft and get rid of Kronos. Those Kronos and MyTime forms are such a waste of time and paper.
