Great exposure to projects and experience, but fundamentally flawed in terms of management and pay structure/benefits.

I have been working at Turner and Townsend full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some fantastic projects, plenty of interesting schemes to be working on. Great office locations.

    Cons

Poor management within teams, sectors and offices. I think the CEO, COO and other key people are doing the right thing/heading the company in the right direction, but looking closer at everyday management, there is a lack of communication, lack of help available. It seems to be 'put on the job because you're not doing anything right now', rather than putting the right person on the job.

Very poor pay, worse still there's an incredibly poor outcome of the salary reviews year on year. No other benefits. Bonuses only given to Associate Directors or above, no incentives for younger/more junior employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more benefits, other than pension contribution and a free burrito from the shop round the corner once a year. I suggest offering yearly bonuses for everyone, if targets are met, just something to boost morale.

Better communication within teams. A new starter recently joined, they turned up and no-one knew who they were, far too awkward and unwelcoming. That should never happen, it's just the basics of management.
