I worked at Twentieth Century Fox full-time (more than 5 years)

If you work on or near the lot, you can take advantage of the free movie screenings and get the chance to see the occasional celebrity. I was able to go on a couple set tours while I was there as well. Their benefits are really good and there's a lot of extra perks as well (I regularly received free blu rays, attended Christmas parties, etc.) The department I worked didn't micro-manage and expected people to work independently (which I consider a plus). There's a big Summer barbecue every year with a screening of the big summer movie along with lots of free food.

There were lots of opportunities for professional development, including free classes on everything from Excel to learning about economics of the film industry. They also offered tuition reimbursement for qualifying classes. I attended department-wide meetings where we had guest speakers like James Cameron and Danny Devito. How cool is that?

Fox is one of the best companies I've worked for.

Fox runs lean, which could mean extra work depending on where you work, but it also means they didn't lay off very often unlike some other studios. They didn't offer paternity leave when I had my youngest son. I often found that their HR/benefits department was hard to deal with when you had questions about your benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer paternity leave to fathers and advise the HR/benefits group to be more responsive with employees questions and needs.
