Current Employee - Radiographer/Lab in Houston, TX

I have been working at U.S. Healthworks full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Can be very fast paced and challenging. Clean place to work. Good benefits. No weekends.(unless on call) Typical occupational medical clinic.

    Cons

Slow to replace broken equipment. Can get very busy with long physicals. Not enough help in the back office. Corporate cookie cutter staffing model says we are over staffed. Walk in no appointment policy makes certain days extremely busy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at staffing levels and the types of patients we are seeing. Not every patient is a 5 minute drug screen. Long physicals can take up to an hour of hands on time. Make sure we have the equipment we need to be able to do our jobs.
