    I have been working at UCLA full-time (More than 3 years)


    Access to top notch scientists and collaborations. During the school year, access to many high quality seminars and talks from scientists nationally and internationally. As a graduate student, there is also a wide exposure to alternative career options and resources to learn and prepare for them.


    There is not much to complain about. The living expenses are high to live close to campus. As for the labs, funding has becoming a mounting challenge so it's essential to write and secure fellowships to support yourself.

    Advice to Management

    Encourage the incoming graduating student to identify both academia and non-academia mentors and forge relationships with alumni to return to provide advices.
