Benefits are good, overall a good place to work, but pay is average at best.

    Pros

Pay is average or low for the work you are doing, but the lower income is offset somewhat by the benefits, including a pension plan and inexpensive healthcare.

    Cons

Mostly just the pay, otherwise working at UCLA is fine. Depending on your department or lab, job security can be tenuous.
