I worked at UPS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work experience is great & accumulated fast because of top heavy MGMT and not enough doers... so to speak. Most of MGMT in charge are simply waiting to retire since the are paid way to much and were able to become decently rich from when the company went public in 1999 and they had the privilege of known so they could Split their stocks prior to the IPO. Other than the exposure to such a large corporate culture right out of college with such embedded animosity between silos and high school level polities that make the adult/ appear as children - - - and having that exposure early on in my career to sour my view of large corporations... much of my experience was negative and managed by intimidation.

    Cons

People gossip to the point of 3rd party harassment. Managers will say very inappropriate things about colleagues, it's honestly so bad, that everyone complains about it all day at work. 3 of the 16 people I was hired with have left the company, plus many other exceptional talent. That should till prospective employees something important.

    Advice to Management

Hire people worthy of the job. Listen to your "lower" level employees. They are dedicated... and overworked and underpaid. And just retire already you rich old boys club managers, you are a serious killer to employee moral. One and 10 hour day as a minimum requirement for full time is illegal. That is why you are always getting sued.
