    I have been working at URS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Work/life balance.
    Interesting projects allow continued growth and outweighs the Cons for now.
    Senior management changes could bring better vision and execution.
    Attempting to improve organization structure and culture.
    AECOM acquisition may be opportunity to improve further.
    Competitive base salary.

    Cons

    Cost-inefficient operating units.
    Top heavy organization.
    "Old school" culture, moves slowly and risk-averse.
    Closed communication. Limited transparency.
    No performance-based compensation or career management.
    Mediocre benefits package.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Rationalize the organization, especially support functions. Flatten management layers. Take some cost out.
    Update the culture. Improve processes and communication.
    Move faster. Take some risks. Be more Transparent.
    Introduce performance-based compensation, meaningful review process and career management.
    Improve the benefits package were possible.

    Communicate expectations regarding the acquisition with AECOM.
