Former Employee - Intelligence Officer in Arlington, VA

I worked at US Army full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Really be part of the front-lines of what is current on all the major current news channels. Have great travel and training opportunities. Federal benefits package is really great. Salary is great.

    Cons

Have to travel with short notice. Lots of upper management issues - lack of transparency, unfairness in treatment of employees, mind games (psychological manipulation), if a civilian, will always have uniformed solider take precedence. No flexibility in work/outside interests.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take performance evaluations seriously and really examine own personal biases. Make take into account emotional leadership decisions. More respect for an employees desire for interests outside work.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
