I worked at US Marine Corps (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Marine Corps is an excellent institution to begin your work life. Whether you're staying in or getting out, the Marine Corps is a solid foundation. The opportunity to advance is up to the individual Marine. There are many routes you can take to get the best experience out of the Marine Corps.

    Cons

I wouldn't recommend this job/career for someone with a family. You're constantly moving and will cause problems within the family.

    Advice to Management

Stop restricting your NCO's from doing their job and stop under minding them. NCO's are there to run the platoons and will run them if you don't tie their hands behind their backs.
