Former Employee - Junior Officer in Washington, DC

I worked at US Navy full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Lots of challenges and travel. Broad and fast responsibility. Expected to adapt using training and education. Responsible for budget, people, operational skills and projects.

    Cons

Rigid dress code. Not investing for future. Hurt by interpretation of Goldwater-Nichols. Leadership dominated by Political Correctness.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out how you want to fight and what you want to fight with. Then, get it from Congress.
