I have been working at Uber as a contractor (less than an year)

The only pro is you can work whenever you like. ( same as Lyft )

Working for them in the beginning was good money and good support from the company, but now, i don't know where to start. Here it goes...they say you make money...if you do the math right...yes but very little for what you put in. 1) They say they keep only 20% which is like 30%.....2) the advertise "TIP" is included...where? We are independent contractors, right? Let the customer decide about the tip...don't tell them tips is included. 3) when a customer cancels a trip, after we have arrived at the destination (already spend time and gas ) Uber says: 'its their first time we give them a break so we don't make them mad". First we, as drivers we don't know that, second if Uber wants to give them a break "PAY FOR IT", don't do it at the drivers cost. 4) They say refer a driver and you make $250....then they find LAME excuses NOT to pay you. 5) They lower their fares ( to get rid of Lyft ) but their commission still the same.
    6) Drivers also should be aware that in end of the year will have to pay taxes on that money. 7) Rate the driver and rate the customer.....drivers cannot see customers ratings any more so, that they accept everybody to ride with them and Uber don't lose out on the commission. ( they DON"T care about their drivers...Lyft does ).
After all , they are only a "SOFTWARE" company....they don't own the cars , the drivers use their personal cars.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider : lower their commission, driver values, (
