I have been working at Unify full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - Strong support and tools for remote workers - Contact with co-workers from all around the world - Very talented and committed technical team.

    Cons

    - Large amount and constant number of Layoffs affected the moral and management did not invest much in "recovering" the moral of the employees that remained. - Lost very talented people because of salary policies and the current direction of "shipping" R&D wherever is cheaper overseas. - Shrinking all R&D to a minimum (not sustainable)...

    Advice to Management

Most people understood the reasoning behind the recently layoffs and had hope that at the end of it we would have a better outlook in the coming months, because most of people working at Unify believe in the products we have, have invested ( and continue investing) extra hours for a long period and really enjoyed the work and co-workers. The problem is after those layoffs, nothing has been done to keep what was left of the company and core R&D team members were leaving on a weekly basis and upper management actually seems to encourage this (planned passive layoff?). If the management was serious about maintaining some kind of R&D in the U.S, it must be clear and act like it really mean it.
