    Pros

    Benefit Structure, opportunity for advancement

    Cons

Executive Level creates ineffective systems fraught with missing basics of management; issues with data analytic s, forecast modeling, meeting goals, training insufficiency, etc . However, the line management WILL be blamed for any bad outcome. Employees are allowed to determine the Management's status with the company. As a Manager, you have expected to meet goals, however, you are not allowed to implement corrective action plans on employees. The Executive Level will not support you. If your employees complain about anything, the Executive Level will stab you in the back and offer them fluffy bunny kisses instead of a making them accountable for their job performance. Basically, you must "Manage" in a toxic, negative, unhealthy environment, but be given no real power to fix the root source of the problems. They appear to be happy with the status quo of tenured staff torturing new employees.

    Advice to Management

Steve, Consider a professional management program for new Managers. Seek out the causes of the negative culture and take actions to correct the problems. Even the greatest Manager in the world cannot salvage an employee who does not believe nor want to live the company values. As Managers we should always do the right thing. However, sometimes the right thing is clearing out negative, problematic, bullying employees.
