    I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    telecommuting, local management ok, I am not able to come up with 20 words to describe anything good about this department.

    Cons

    Pay and benefits are terrible, earned bonuses aren't paid, atmosphere stifling, totally incompetent corporate management who refuse to even communicate directly with any of us. If anyone openly disagrees with any decree handed down by corporate, they are actually threatened with termination if they don't shut up. Funded by the federal government; CEO of United HealthCare (UnitedHealth Group is parent company), Gail Boudreaux, got a 79% pay increase in 2012, making her salary 10.9M (according to the Wall Street Journal). Our raises were capped at 2%. Our dept makes more money than all other depts yet have less benefits and make less money while the average pay of corporate execs is $10M plus per year. If this department wasn't subsidized by taxes, it would have been bankrupt several years ago.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Look up the definitions of the words "ethics" and "integrity" and you'll find you have neither.
