I worked at UnitedHealth Group (Less than a year)

Nice lunch cafe. This company makes me wish glassdoor had a "zero" or blank star on the rating scale!!

Upper management is a very small minded, unprofessional little "crew". If they like you, then you're safe. But if they don't care for you personally, it doesn't matter about your stats, adherence or anything else job related, they're going to terminate your employment for absolutely no reason at all. This is an ongoing practice and its pathetic. i can attest to the fact that this Roanoke, Virginia, contact center is a detriment to the United Healthcare company. This particular company site DOES NOT adhere to the core values of the company at all. I am not a disgruntled employee; as I was a contractual employee that did a phenomenal job (according to customers/fellow co-wkrs). This was not a career move for me, however, I did plan to fulfill my end of the contractual agreement. But again, Roanoke, Virginia UHC contact center is NOT focused on professionalism and the work. The broken, lazy, petty upper management would rather focus on your personal life and whether they "like" you as a BFF. Never encountered such an infantile management crew in my entire professional career.

    Advice to Management

Refresh!!! Do a complete overhaul and get that lazy management out of there. They are truly holding the company back from it's full potential by stifling "new blood" that's anxious to work, learn and accelerate. You're condemned if you have fresh ideas. That "old management crew" just want to bide the rest of their time until retirement.
