Typical higher ed environment - big enough that there really is a community for everyone.

I worked at University of Colorado at Boulder full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great activists and people trying to work towards social justice. I worked in residence life and the student leadership was phenomenal and there was a great focus on social justice. You can't really beat living in Boulder, either!

    Cons

As is typical in a higher ed environment, there is always more work to do if you want to do it. Creating a work-life balance can be a challenge, especially working in residence life. Battling the higher ups, especially in regards to social justice initiatives, can be a challenge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more proactive around social justice initiatives and don't fear being a leader around these issues!
