I have been working at University of Hawai'i full-time (more than 5 years)

location obviously is amazing, the people are friendly and family oriented. Work hours are flexible but depend heavily on your immediate boss.

Cost of living and salary imbalance, and personal growth is outside of the University system. Everyone knows everyone else's business or knows someone that knows something about it. It's a small island so you'd better behave.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
