I worked at University of Illinois at Chicago full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Close to downtown, few really good people who suffer silently, long 10 day Christmas break.

    Cons

For almost all jobs, there is a candidate who is the hiring manager wants in the position, yet the ad is put out to fulfill requirements of equal opportunity. Some people do nothing and still get paid because their supervisors want them in the position and don't care. It's such a waste of tax payers dollars. No wonder the state sales and income tax rates are the highest in the nation. Simple things are made complicated and there is such an unnecessary waste of resources.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be sincere and have some morals. Senior University administration should look into the unethical practices that take place in some departments and have staff come forward and report them - rather than punish staff who report malpractices.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
