Former Employee - Help Desk Specialist II in Columbia, MD

I worked at University of Maryland Medical System as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Not much to report as good

    Cons

Management here needs a course in ethics. Certain management continues to use foul language constantly and is quite offensive. Management does not communicate with each other and has differing/conflicting ideas/methods on how something should be done. As a result, mistakes are made and employees end up taking the heat for it. There most definitely is cronyism within the IT department and contractors are treated dismissively. The fact that there is a high turnover rate should send up red flags. Very, very unprofessional.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your act together. Treat everyone with respect and clean up your language and act like a professional.
