    Pros

Great location and better than average salary and benefits. Emphasis on research and hosting academic conferences that further international scholarly interchange. Select group of students who make teaching a joy.

    Cons

Little input from academic staff on many important decisions, which tend to be made at the executive level by managerial types. Top-down style of governance is not appropriate for a research university of this type.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More transparency in decision making, more involvement of academic staff in formulating and finalising governance-related decisions.
