I have been working at University of Minnesota part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Very flexible hours for student workers. Work-life balance is excellent -- if you need to study, it's always been easy to make time for that.

Also, this place looks great on your resume. I've gotten a few interviews for full time work at other places purely because I have this experience listed.

The culture is pretty laid back as well, in my experience.

    Cons

Sometimes not much to work to do. Also new initiatives sometimes get brought up by management, or some department will decide on a "new way of doing things" but these changes seem to sometimes get forgotten about. This does seem to be getting better lately, though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Things are fine, overall.
