I have been working at University of New Mexico full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good graduate program, with very active research and exciting stuff going on. Close ties to the excellent medical school mean lots of data for scientists to work with.

    Cons

UNM has some of the worst self-esteem I've ever seen at a university. No matter how interesting the research is, it seems like the students and faculty never give themselves enough credit for it. The administration used to be pretty incompetent, but this is turning around lately with the new president.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please remember that the students and teachers are the campus' lifeblood.
