I have been working at University of Washington full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great medical insurance (I broke my leg, and they covered a HUGE chunk of it!)
A lot of programs to bring students and staff together.
For those going into science, the scientific community is great to be around, and has a lot of different functions.

    Cons

Bureaucracy is pretty awful. Some things that should take days, take weeks (or months).
