Needs strategic direction in order to move forwards

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at University of Westminster

    Pros

You will have the power to take control of your role and expand your skills enormously. They are very pro development so you will be able to train on the job as long as it's relevant. There are also many opportunities to grow internally at the organisation.

    Cons

You can get on sometimes by floating by without a clear purpose. It can frustrate ambitious employees who want to progress especially if you're working with such colleagues who have found their comfort zone and just want to do the day to day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clear strategic direction is needed with an emphasis on employees bettering themselves through the appraisal system.

Reduce the uncertainty on areas by completing department restructures instead of keeping them constantly 'in review'. It affects the productivity of the organisation as a whole.
