    Pros

Fast Paced Flexible Shifts Competitive Pay Upper Management (Director of Stores, VP's, etc) project positive friendly & supportive message - They make you feel good about the job you do and the value to the company. At store level - great teams.

    Cons

Physically demanding Difficult work/life balance due to projects & weekly demands outside of running the store (I.e. conference calls, reports, e-mails, etc. For example, each month sending a preprinted wall calendar and then 2-3 e-mails each week with things you need to physically write on the calendar so that you can show "ownership to the task" when a DM visits.) Negative attitudes of some management and DM's who believe if they say anything nice, someone might get the idea that they are doing a good job. (Attiude of I don't care what you are doing right, you have to immediately fix everything else.)

    Advice to Management

Constantly tearing down a team or store when they are performing average or in trend adds unnecessary stress that is often counterproductive and results in unhappy employees. In these times a positive reinforcement vs. threatening works better. Also, let the managers get out of the office and manage the sales floor.
