    I worked at Vail Resorts

    Pros

If you love skiing and a free epic pass, then working for Vail is great!

    Cons

There are a lot of reasons you wouldn't want to work for Vail. First of all, wages are almost disrespectfully low for living in notoriously expensive ski towns. While lower level management will do everything to take care of you, Vail corporate is constantly clawing at their backs and it shows. Vail Resorts is all about making money. Don't let them fool you otherwise. Vail resorts makes it obvious that they see their lower level employees as easily expendable and don't show the slightest interest in employee retention. Don't expect to work for this company longer than a season.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My only advice to management would be to pay more attention to your employees. While Vail may be a huge success, it's running through great people like candy in a jar. Eventually the candy will run out, and so will the experience of a lifetime.
