I have been working at Vanguard Resources full-time (Less than a year)
Always work, no lay offs. Overtime available. Good environment at clients location. the idea is there but not being pursued by on location management. Loss of Contracts will be the cost.
Turn over is really bad due to pay standards, but more so PRIMARILY due to management. For example when an employee never calls in sick, is always at their scheduled time, works overtime when asked, then STOP changing their schedule. Allow them to have a life they can plan on. Treat them right and they will work when requested or required. When you don't then you suffer turn over.
Advice to Management
Talk positively to good employees and "hear" what they have to say. If you are an effective manager act on their issues they honestly bring to you. Use the cameras to see who is not doing their job, AND WHO IS, and then take action. Changing to another director will not accomplish anything if he just starts changing things (schedules) without first observing.
